The Belconnen Magpies will sport pink armbands this Mothers Day weekend (12-13 May) as players compete in the fourth annual Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) Pink Footy & Netball Day.
BCNA’s Pink Footy & Netball Day runs from 12 – 13 May 2012 and is a chance for footy and netball clubs across Australia to show their support for, and pay tribute to, women and families from their local communities who have been affected by breast cancer.
Money raised over the pink weekend will go directly to BCNA to support its work in ensuring women diagnosed with breast cancer anywhere in Australia are provided with the very best information, services and support possible.
Pink Footy & Netball Day is great opportunity for the whole community to put on a show of strength and support for women and families affected by breast cancer. We hope that everyone will come down, wear some pink, get involved and cheer on the teams.
